Halfway Point
Wow! Where has the first half of Janovary gone?!
In just over two weeks we're going to be hosting our months-end fundraiser and we are so so so stoked.
On the bill: plenty of cocktails, friends, and fun. Live art, live entertainment, prizes, and a silent auction filled with amazing goodies donated to our cause by some wonderfully compassionate people and companies.
Make yourself available on February 1st for a great time for a great cause.

Why it Matters...
Sure, Janovary started as a fun gag amongst friends.
Yes, we're planning a super-fun party and getting a rush out of raising money for charity.
But it all gets put into perspective when a lovely 24 year old woman gets in touch to let us know how wonderful she thinks Janovary is, and that she is battling ovarian cancer and currently undergoing treatment.
It's so touching and humbling to realize that this little event that we're trying to grow actually impacts people's lives. And really, any one of us in the female population could be that woman one day.
So let's take a moment to put things into perspective. To really value the precious moments in our lives and our precious health. And let's raise some money, have some fun, and contribute what we can to making women's cancers (and all cancers) history!

Things to Come...
One week into the month, and our fundraising mission is well underway. And of course, it all ends with a night of fun and fundraising.
We're busy planning away to make out fundraising-month finale extra exciting this year. There will definitely be cocktails, door prizes, and friends. There will definitely be fundraising for a good cause. There will also be art, and dance, and plenty more that we are working away at coordinating.

Janovary 2012
New name. New year. Same message!
Vaguary was so much fun last year that we've decided to give it another go! After a year of debates, we've decided to change the name to Janovary for this year's fundraiser. Regardless of what you want to call us, or how you choose to manicure your lady bits, the goal is simple: let's raise some awareness and some much-needed money for Ovarian Cancer Canada.
Check back in and get ready for a month of fundraising fun to be capped off with our second annual fundraising gala at month's end.
Year two is looking very, very promising!
